General Overview: 
Tega Cay, South Carolina offers a vital recreational community of approximately 6,000 residents. Situated on a 1,600-acre peninsula, and surrounded by 16 miles of shoreline, Tega Cay has golf, swimming, boating, tennis, hiking and biking trails.
Special Features:
The new clubhouse, located in the center of the city features a restaurant, bar, and golf Pro-Shop. There are eight tennis courts, a junior Olympic sized swimming pool, athletic fields, several waterfront parks, walking trails, interior parks and a marina. Schools:
Tega Cay is part of the very fine Fort Mill School District. Students attend the Gold Hill Elementary school, Gold Hill Middle School and the Fort Mill High School.
Employment and Business:
There is no industrial area inside the city limits and no businesses other than the Real Estate offices. All utilities are underground and privately owned. More than 80% of Tega Cay residents work in professional or technical fields and 70 % commute to Charlotte for work.

Runde Field offers two ball fields; a one-third mile paved walking trail and a $30,000 playground facility. Parks in Tega Cay include the Windjammer Point Beach Park, Pitcairn Cove Beach Park, Trailhead Park and others. |
