Indian Trail, NC
General Overview: 
Indian Trail was originally a trading route established in the seventeen century. Today it is a rapidly growing city with a population of about 12,000 people. It is a small town rich with charm and heritage. It is a wonderful place for families.
Special Features:
Indian Trail is famous for one of Charlotte’s largest 4th of July Parades. They have numerous community and civic organizations including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Lion and Lioness Club, Woodmen of the World and the Rotary club.
Schools:
Indian Trail’s schooling is provided by Union County. It includes 2 high schools, 2 middle schools and 4 elementary schools. There are also several private schools available.
Employment and Business:
There is a variety of industry and commerce, agriculture and small businesses. Union County is growing rapidly.

Recreation:
Family Fun Day and the 4th of July are special events. The 15 acre Edna Love Park offers a large athletic field. Soccer, swimming, horseback riding, baseball and more are available in Indian Trail and the surrounding communities. Union County offers 3 public golf courses and also some private golf facilities. The Union West Regional Library hosts seminars, book clubs, movies and many other programs. |
