Davidson offers the charm of a college town community. It has over 8,000 residents. It lies near the eastern shore of Lake Norman. Davidson College, one of the nation’s top liberal arts colleges, provides many cultural resources for the town.

Davidson Parks and Recreation Department provides quality year round leisure activities for children and adults, Town Day and July 4th Celebrations. The Davidson College Arboretum is a special place to visit.

Schools:
K – 12 students have access to the very fine schools of the Charlotte–Mecklenburg School system.

Local employment can be found in many fields including education, finance, health and social services, and research. The diverse employment opportunities of Charlotte are also available. The active Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce is an excellent resource.
