Concord’s thriving population of over 61,000 is the county seat of Cabarrus County and a winner of the All-America City Award in 2004.

Special Features:
Concord is home to Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Concord Motor Sport Park, a NASCAR Research and Development Office, and several professional race teams.  Concord Mills is a 1.32 million square foot shopping mall, one of North Carolina’s largest tourist attractions. Downtown Concord features beautifully restored historic homes, and a walking tour as well as the century old Cabarrus County Courthouse. Concord even has its own museum; Concord Museum.

Schools:
Concord has a selection of public and private elementary, middle and high schools. Private schools in Concord include the First Assembly Christian School and the Cannon School. Public education kindergarten through high school is available through Cabarrus County Schools. Higher Educational opportunities include Barber-Scotia College and Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is about 12 miles away.
